منقول manḳūl A (part. pass. of نقل) adj. Trans- lated, transcribed, copied, related, narrated, recounted; adopted (word). Plur. منقولات manḳūlāt, Things related, recounted, copied.

ملبوس malbūs A (part. pass. of لبس Heb. and Aram. ) adj. Clothed. 2. (subst.) Clothes (which have been worn), garment. (Plur. ملبوسات malbūsāt).

متناهي mutanāhī A (part. act. VI. from نـﮩي) adj.

متولي mutawallī A (part. act. V. of ولي) s. m. 1. A superintendant (or treasurer of a mosque). 2. A kinsman.

موشکور mūsh-i-kor P s. An animal without eyes that burrows in the ground, has a red back and white belly, with a long tail white at the end; a musk-rat, or a kind of mole. A bat.

مزاحمت muzāḥamat A (inf. III. of زحم) s. f. Prevention, hinderance, impediment.

مقاعد muḳāʼiﻌd A (part. act. III. of قعد) s. m. 1. Whatever comes behind another. 2. A guar- dian, keeper.

ماهي māhī P s. f. A fish; the fish on which the earth is supposed to rest. ماهي توه māhī-tawa, s. m. A fryingpan. ماهي خوار māhī-ḵẖẉār, s. m. A heron, cormorant. ماهي دندان māhī- dandān, A fishʼs tooth, of which the hilts of swords, &c. are made. ماهي فروش māhī-farosh, s. m. A fish-man, or -monger. ماهي گير māhī- gīr, s. m. 1. A fisherman. 2. An otter. (Lutra lutreola: Shaw). ماهي مراتب māhī-marātib, s. m. Certain honours, of which the privilege is especially conferred on princes and great nobles. They are denoted by the figure of a fish, with other insignia (two balls), carried as ensigns upon elephants.
