مـﮩا پرلي महाप्रलय mahā-pralai S or -pralaya, s. m. 1. A destruction of the world, occurring after every period of 4,320,000,000 years. 2. A total destruction of the universe, happening after a period commensurate with the life of Brahmā, or 100 years, each day of which is equal to the period first stated, and each night of which is of similar duration; at the expira- tion of this term, the seven Lokas or divisions of the universe, with the saints, gods and Brah- mā himself, are annihilated.

ملہٿني mulhaṭṭī S̱. (from मूल Root) s. f. Name of a medicinal root, liquorice.

مروڙا maroṛā H (from مروڙنا) s. m. A twisting of the bowels, pain in the bowels, flux, gripes. H. S̱. مروڙپهلي maroṛ-phal-ī, s. f. Name of a plant (Helicteres isora) the fruit of which is used in medicine.

مذلت maẕallat A (from ذلّ Heb. ؟) s. f. Baseness, contempt, abjectness.

متلاطم mutalāt̤im A part. act. (VI. of لطم) Dashing (waves, &c.).

معظم muʼaﻌz̤z̤am A (part. pass. II. of عظم Heb. ) adj. Honoured, great, respected, reverend. ¶ muﻌz̤am (part. pass. IV.) s. m. The superiour, the greater.

مکهنا makhnā H s. m. 1. A kind of elephant which has no tusks. 2. A cock without spurs.

مـﮩم muhimm A (part. act. IV. of همّ Heb. and Chald. ) adj. Important, serious; s. f. Ur- gent, momentous business, important affair, affair of consequence, exigence, exploit, enterprise.

مينـﮩ meṅh S̱. P. (Pers. ميغ Sans. मेघ) s. m. Rain. مينـﮩ برسنا meṅh barasnā, To rain. مينـٿـﮩ چهوٿنا meṅh chhūṭnā, To rain hard.
