مخاديم maḵẖādīm A s. plur. (of مخدوم) Persons served, lords, masters.

متعلم mutaʼaﻌllam A (part. pass. V. from علم) 1. adj. Being taught, learning. 2. (subst.) A scholar, disciple. ¶ mutaʼaﻌllim (part. act.) Teaching.

ماخوذ māḵẖūẕ A (part. pass. of اخذ) adj. Taken, received, seized.

مشکين چڙهانا mushkeṅ chaṛhānā H v. a. To pinion, to tie the hands behind the back.

مانگ māng H s. f. 1. A line on the top of the head where the hair is parted. 2. A betrothed damsel. 3. Prow. 4. Division. مانگ māng or مانگ پـٿي māng-paṭṭī(dakh.) A golden orna- ment worn over the line on the top of the head where the hair is parted, reaching to the back part of the head: Qanoon-e-islam, App. p. xviii. مانگ نکالنا māng nikālnā, To divide the hair in a straight line on the top of the head.

مده madda S̱. s. m. (extension) The long vowels, or و,ا and ي, when quiescent, and preceded by a letter which has their homogeneous short vowel; i. e. ا preceded by fatʼḥa, و by ẓamm and ي by kasr. See مد madd, signif. 3.

مولسري maulsarī H s. f. Name of a tree. (Mimu- sops elengi).

موانست muʼānasat A (inf. III. of أنس Heb. ) s. f. Companionship, fellowship, society, familiarity, intimacy.

مولانا maulā-nā (lit. A our lord or judge) s. m. A title given to persons respected for learning.
