Some- what, something. مابعد mā baﻌd, What (is) after, following. مابقي يا بقيه mā-baḳī or -ba- ḳīya, The rest, remainder, remnant, arrears, balance. مابه الاحتياج mā bi-hi-l-iḥtiyāj, What- ever is necessary. ما حصل mā ḥaṣal, Any thing collected, the harvest, produce of fruit trees, &c. profit or income. ما حضر mā ḥaẓar, What is present or ready. ما صدق mā ṣadaḳ, What is true. ما فوق mā-fauḳ, What is above or excelling. مافي الضمير mā fi-ẓ-ẓamīr (comp. of ما What, في In, and ضمير Mind) Secret. ما قبل mā ḳabl, What (is) before, before. ما لاکلام mā-lā-kalām, What cannot be told, beyond description. مالا يطاق mā lā yut̤āḳ, Intolerable. مالا ينحل mā lā yanḥall, What cannot be untied or dissolved; inextricable. ما ورا mā warā, What is behind or beyond. ما يتحلل mā ya- taḥallal, That which is dissolved and has va- nished. ما يحتاج mā yuḥtāj, What is neces- sary. ما يؤل mā yaʼūl, What returns, what may come to pass.

موقع mauḳaﻌ A (noun of place of وقع) s. m. A place where any thing happens, a fit place, a place, situation; a contingency.

منتر मंत्र mantar S or mantra, s. m. 1. A charm, philter, spell, incantation. 2. Secret consulta- tion, private advice. منترجنتر mantar-jantar (मंत्रयंत्र) Incantation, exorcism.

معراج miﻌrāj A (noun of instrument of عرج Heb. ) s. m. f. 1. A ladder, stair, any thing by which one ascends. 2. Ascent, ascension.

مذبح maẕbiḥ A (prop. maẕbaḥ, noun of place from ذبح) s. m. A place of sacrifice, an altar.

موهي mo-hī S̱. (comp. of موه for Braj मोहि mo-hi, and ई ī for s. हि hi, very) pron. Me indeed, to me truly.

مدارات mudārāt A s. f. (inf. III. of درأ or دري) 1. Humility, humanity, politeness, affability, courtesy. 2. Deceit, circumvention, dissimulation.

معون maʼūﻌn A (from عون) s. m. Aid, assistance, favour: or, plur. of معونت maʼūﻌnat, q. v.

مکي mukkī S̱. s. f. A blow with the fist, buffet. See مکا mukkā.

مجال majāl A (noun of place from جول Heb. and Chald. ) s. f. Power, ability, strength.
