مـﮩاشي महाशय mahāshai S or mahāshaya, adj. Magnanimous, liberal, munificent.

مند मंद mand S 1. adj. Abated, slow, tedious, dull, foolish. 2. Bad, ill. 3. s. m. The planet Saturn. 4. Saturday. مندگت mand-gati, Slow (in) pace; slowly, softly. مند مند mand-mand, adv. Gently, softly.

ماش माष māsh̤ S s. m. A kind of vetch. (Pha- seolus max. or radiatus).

متردد mutaraddid A (part. act. V. of ردّ Heb. ) adj. 1. Rejected. 2. Adverse. 3. Wandering. 4. Irresolute, perplexed, ambitious, hesitating, wavering. S. متردروهي मित्रद्रोही (from मित्र Friend, and द्रोह Malice) mitr-drohī, s. m. A false friend, a treacherous friend.

موجب mūjib A (part. act. IV. of وجب) s. m. Cause, reason, motive, account.

ميان miyāṅ H or myāṅ, s. m. Sir! an address expressive of kindness, a title by which eunuchs are addressed, master. ميان آدمي miyāṅ-ādmī, A respectable person. ¶ myāṅ (dakh.) Scab- bard: see نيام niyām.

مسمسانا masmasānā H v. n. To suppress oneʼs sentiments from fear.

منڐپ मंडप manḍap S s. m. 1. A temporary building or open shed adorned with flowers, a house. 2. A temple. منڐپ اطلسي manḍap-i-at̤las-ī (dakh.) The lower heaven or crystalline sphere. S. منڐت मंडित (r. मड Adorn, surround) manḍit, part. Ornamented, overlaid (with gold, &c.), covered (with dust).
