معشر maﻌshar A (noun of place from عشر Heb. and Chald. ) s. m. A company, a troop, society. ¶ muʼaﻌshshar (part. pass. II. of عشر) adj. Composed of or relating to ten; a decagon.

مربع murabbaﻌ A (part. pass. II. of ربع Heb. ) adj. 1. Being four in number. 2. Square, quadrangular. 3. Sitting cross-legged (like a tailor). 4. Having a quartan ague. 5. s. A quatrain or stanza of four lines.

مشر mishar मिश्र S̱. s. m. 1. A title of Brāh- maṇs, who were brought to India from Sāka- dwīp by Kr̤ish̤ṇa in order to cure the leprosy of his son Sāmba: also, a title of some Brāhmaṇs from Mithilā, &c. 2. A Hindū physician.

مـﮩر mahr A (Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. 1. A marriage portion or gift settled upon the wife before marriage, alimony, jointure. 2. Con- tracting by writing for such settlement.

موتهرا mothrā H s. m. Name of a disease in horses, splint, spavin.

ميٿنا meṭnā S̱. (causal of مٿنا miṭnā, q. v.) v. a. 1. To efface, erase, blot out, wipe out, annihilate, annul, cancel, expiate, atone for. 2. To thwart.

مسلمان musalmān A. (from سلم) s. m. A believer, a Muhammadan. (Pers. plur. مسلمانان).
