مجتـﮩد mujtahid A part. act. (VIII. of جـﮩد) Striving, contending, carrying on war especially against infidels; (subst.) A superiour or super- intendent in religious matters, prelate.

منديل mindīl A or mandīl, s. f. 1. A tablecloth. 2. A towel. 3. A turband (high): or, a band ten or twelve cubits long, woven either partly with thread or silk and partly with gold, or wholly with gold thread, and applied over the turband. (Qanoon-e-islam).
