مده madda S̱. s. m. (extension) The long vowels, or و,ا and ي, when quiescent, and preceded by a letter which has their homogeneous short vowel; i. e. ا preceded by fatʼḥa, و by ẓamm and ي by kasr. See مد madd, signif. 3.

مفتقر muftaḳir A (part. act. VIII. of فقر) adj. Empoverished, reduced to poverty.

مسواک miswāk A (noun of instr. of سوک Heb. To anoint, to rub) s. f. A stick used as a dentifrice: a toothpick or tooth-brush.
