محاسب muḥāsib A (part. act. III. of حسب Heb. ) s. m. An accountant, a calculator, one who keeps accounts, an examiner or auditor of accounts, an arithmetician.

مقتضي muḳtaẓī A (part. act. VIII. of قضي) adj. Exacting, requiring, urging. ¶ muḳtaẓạ̄ (part. pass.) See مقتضا muḳtaẓā.

معدود maﻌdūd A (part. pass. of عدّ Heb. ) adj. Numbered, computed.

معامله muʼāﻌmala A s. m. (inf. III. of عمل Heb. and Aram. ) Treaty, affair, business, negotiation, trans- action, behaviour, procedure, concern, cause or suit in law. (Plur. معاملات muʼāﻌmalāt). معامله رس muʼāﻌmala-ras, adj. Comprehending the af- fair, the transaction or the suit. معامله رسي muʼāﻌmala-ras-ī, s. f. The comprehension of the affair or suit, &c. معامله کرنا muʼāﻌmala karnā, To deal with, treat with, negotiate.

مصدر maṣdar A (noun of place of صدر) s. m. 1. Source, origin, spring, theme. 2. The infinitive or noun of action (in grammar). 3. A place. (Plur. مصادر).

مرجي murjī A (part. act. IV. of رجأ) 1. adj. One who delays doing what he promises. 2. One of the sect called مرجيت who procrastinate, or think good works unnecessary and faith suf- ficient. 3. s. m. Name of a tribe.

منہي manhī A (part. pass. of نہي) adj. For- bidden, prohibited. Plur. منہيات manhiyāt, Unlawful things.
