مغناطيس mig̠ẖnāt̤īs G. (or مغنطيس or مغنيطيس *magnh=tis) s. m. The magnet or loadstone. See مقناطيس miḳnāt̤īs.

محارب muḥārib A (part. act. III. of حرب) s. m. A warriour, a combatant, fighter.

ملنساري milansār-ī S̱. s. f. Sociableness, friend- liness, affability, civility, concord, agreement.

مقطع maḳt̤aﻌ A (noun of place or inf. from قطع Chald. ) s. m. 1. The last verse of a poem. 2. Cutting, amputating. ¶ miḳt̤aﻌ (noun of in- strum.) Shears for cutting cloth, silver, &c. a cutting instrument in general. ¶ muḳat̤t̤aﻌ (part. pass. II.) adj. 1. Cut, cut out, shaped. 2. Well dressed, well shaped, beautiful.

محشور maḥshūr A part. pass. (of حشر) Assem- bled, raised from the dead.

مورک morak S̱. adj. (dakh.) See مورکهـ mūrakh.

مرت mirt S̱. or mr̤itya or mr̤ityu (मृत्यु) s. f. Death.

مرکت मरकत markat S s. m. An emerald.

مده madda S̱. s. m. (extension) The long vowels, or و,ا and ي, when quiescent, and preceded by a letter which has their homogeneous short vowel; i. e. ا preceded by fatʼḥa, و by ẓamm and ي by kasr. See مد madd, signif. 3.

مانجها mānjhā H s. m. 1. A paste mixed with pounded glass, and applied to the string of a kite, to cut that of another with. 2. A feast given by a bridegroom, previous to the wedding. 3. The trunk of a tree.
