مغموم mag̠ẖmūm A (part. pass. of غمّ) adj. Grieved, mournful, sorrowful, afflicted, sad, af- fected.

ماتها māthā S̱. s. m. 1. (मस्तक) The forehead. 2. Prow. 3. (मट्टक) The ridge of thatch. ماتها ٿهنکنا māthā ṭhanaknā (lit. Ringing or throbbing of the forehead) implies a presenti- ment of the conclusion, from certain marks ob- served in the commencement of an affair: and, it is generally understood to indicate an unfor- tunate termination. ماتها رگڙنا māthā ragaṛnā (lit. To rub the forehead, viz. on the ground) To implore humbly (of the Deity, a saint or a king). ماتهي پر چڙهنا māthe par chaṛhnā, v. a. To tyrannise, to oppress.

مـﮩروش mihr-wash P adj. Like the sun. P. S̱. مـﮩرونتا mihr-wantā, adj. (dakh.) Affectionate, friendly, kind.

مبني mabnī A (noun of place from بنا) s. m. A foundation. مبني فساد mabnī-i-fasād, An aggressor.

مرسله mursala A s. m. 1. An epistle. 2. A necklace.

مسانڐ musānḍ H s. f. (dakh.) 1. Design, purpose, determination: see قصد ḳaṣd. 2. Assault, at- tack: see حمله ḥamla.

متغير mutag̠ẖaiyir A (part. act. V. from غير) adj. Changed, inconsistent, disturbed, stupified, per- plexed.

ميذنه mīẕana A or maiẕana, s. A turret or some elevated place from which people are called to prayer at a mosque.

مٿها maṭṭhā H or maṭhā, adj. Slow: see سست sust.

مجد majd A (Heb. and Aram. ) s. m. Glory, grandeur, splendour, the honour derived from ancestors. ذوالمجد ẕu-l-majd, adj. Glorious.
