لونگ laung S̱. or long (लवंग) s. f. A clove. (Caryophyllus aromaticus). لونگ چڙا laung- chaṛā, s. m. A kind of dish prepared from pease- meal.

لغزان lag̠ẖzān P part. act. (of لغزيدن) Slipping.

لجابان lajjā-bān S̱. (for लज्जावान्) adj. Ashamed, abashed.

لابه lāba P s. m. 1. A supplication, request. 2. Ridicule, irony, a jest, any thing facetious. 3. Flattery.

لپکا lapkā H s. m. 1. A snatch. 2. Nimbleness. 3. A bad custom or habit. Mīr says: اپني توجـﮩان آنکهـ لڙي پهر وهين ديکهو آينه کو لپکا هي پريشان نظري کا Upnī to jahāṅ ānkh laṛī phir wahīṅ dekho; āʼīne ko lapkā hai pareshān-naz̤arī kā. Where I first fell in love, there you will see me; (I am not like) the mirror (which) is in the habit of casting its glances in all directions.

لچنا lachnā H v. n. To bend, to bow.

لگ lag S̱. (r. लग Come in contact) To, as far as, near, till, until, up to, close to, whilst, during.

لباده lubāda A (from لبد Aram. ) s. m. A wrapper, great coat, pelisse.

لـﮩلـﮩا lahlahā H adj. Blooming, flourishing.

لحن laḥn A s. f. 1. A sound, a note. 2. Melody, modulation.
