لچهمي लक्ष्मी lachh̤mī S (or laksh̤mī) s. f. 1. The wife of Vish̤ṇu, and goddess of wealth and prosperity. (She is also called Padmā, Ka- malā and Srī, and is supposed to be the Ceres of the Latins). 2. Prosperity, wealth. 3. Beauty, splendour.

لخلخا نا laḵẖlaḵẖānā H v. n. (dakh. i. q. بهوکهـ سي نڐهال هونا) To be motionless from hunger (?).

لاک lāk P s. m. 1. See لاکهہ lākh, sign. 1. 2. A kneadingtrough. 3. A tortoise, which is also called لاک پشت lāk-pusht.

ليلة القدر lailatu-l-ḳadr A The night of power; a celebrated night in which they say that angels descended or the ḳurʼān began to descend.

لاوه lāwa P s. m. 1. See لابه lāba. 2. Name of a game among children, called also چاليک chālīk.

لکهنت likhant S̱. (from لکهنا likhnā, To write) s.m. Predestination, fate.
