لالي پڙنا lāle paṛnā S̱. To be extremely desirous and unable fully to express oneʼs wishes. Mīr says:-- اس اسيري کي نه کوٴي اي صبا پالي پڙي ايک نظرگل ديکهني کي بهي همين لالي پڙي Is asīrī ke na koʼī, ai ṣabā! pāle paṛe; yak naz̤ar gul dekhne ke bhī hameṅ lāle paṛe. Oh zephyr! may no one fall into such bonds as these; I long to distraction for one look of the rose.

لن تراني lan-tarānī (lit. A thou shalt never see me) s. f. Boasting, airs, conceitedness.

لـﮩبيرا lahberā H s. m. Name of a plant.

لجهڙي lijhṛī H s. f. Afterbirth, placenta.

لـﮩلـﮩا lahlahā H adj. Blooming, flourishing.

لودي lodī H s. m. Name of a cast among the Paṭhāns.

ليسنا lesnā H (perhaps, for s̱. ليپنا lepnā) v. a. 1. To plaster, to spread, to daub. 2. To kindle. 3. To foment (a quarrel).

لبخا lab-ḵẖā P s. m. A prig, a beau. See under لب lab. لبخاپخنا labḵẖā-paḵẖnā, A beau.

لڙهکنا luṛhaknā S̱. (लुठन or लोठन r. लुठ Roll about) v. n. To roll, to be spilt. لڙه جانا luṛh jānā, To die.

ليوا ديئي lewā-deʼī S̱. (from لينا and دينا) s. f. Traffick, trade, taking and giving.
