لـﮩرا laharrā H s. m. Name of a grain. (باجرا bājrā, Holcus spicatus).

لقوه laḳwa A (from لقا) s. m. A spasmodick dis- tortion of the face.

لغت lug̠ẖat A (from لغو To speak, especially vain or foolish things) s. f. 1. Tongue, speech, dialect, language. 2. Dictionary. 3. A word.

لوتها lothā H s. f. A bag, a sack, stupe.

لپکا lapkā H s. m. 1. A snatch. 2. Nimbleness. 3. A bad custom or habit. Mīr says: اپني توجـﮩان آنکهـ لڙي پهر وهين ديکهو آينه کو لپکا هي پريشان نظري کا Upnī to jahāṅ ānkh laṛī phir wahīṅ dekho; āʼīne ko lapkā hai pareshān-naz̤arī kā. Where I first fell in love, there you will see me; (I am not like) the mirror (which) is in the habit of casting its glances in all directions.

لکهير likhīr लेखा S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Line.

لالي lāl-ī P s. f. Redness, ruddiness. A.P. لام lām, 1. s. m. A ringlet. 2. (from the figure of the letter) adj. Crooked, curled. لام کاف کـﮩنا lām kāf kahnā, To abuse, to give abuse.

لکهتنگ likhtang लिखितं S̱. s. m. A writing, paper, deed.

لونڐا launḍā H s. m. A boy, a slave boy, lad, brat. لونڐا بازي launḍā-bāzī, s. f. Sodomy.

لگ چلنا lag-chalnā S̱. To follow closely, to court friendship.
