لاگنا lāgnā S̱. v. n. See لگنا lagnā.

لولک लोलक lolak S s. m. An earring, drop, pendant.

لوبان lobān A. (for لبان lubān, q. v.) s. m. A kind of gum, incense, benzoin (resin).

لاٿ lāṭ S̱. s. f. An obelisk, a pillar. See لاٿهہ.

لالي پڙنا lāle paṛnā S̱. To be extremely desirous and unable fully to express oneʼs wishes. Mīr says:-- اس اسيري کي نه کوٴي اي صبا پالي پڙي ايک نظرگل ديکهني کي بهي همين لالي پڙي Is asīrī ke na koʼī, ai ṣabā! pāle paṛe; yak naz̤ar gul dekhne ke bhī hameṅ lāle paṛe. Oh zephyr! may no one fall into such bonds as these; I long to distraction for one look of the rose.

لذيذ laẕīẕ A (from لذّ) adj. Delicious, pleasant, delightful, luscious, sweet, savoury, nice.

لاد lād H s. f. 1. Load. 2. Bowel. لاد پهاند lād- phānd, s. f. Loading and packing. A. P. لادن lādan (Gr. *la/danon) s. m. Ladanum, a resinous substance exuding from the leaves and branchlets of the Cistus creticus.

ليجهي lījhī H s. f. Dregs (of a die, or of any thing that has been chewed), sediment. H. S̱. ليچ جانا līch jānā, v. n. To submit, to suc- cumb, to subside.

لکلکانا laklakānā H s. m. (dakh.) See لکهـ لکهانا lakhlakhānā.

لـﮩکانا lahkānā H (causal of لـﮩکنا) v. a. 1. To warble, to quaver. 2. To cause to shine or glitter. 3. To blow up a fire.
