گلگلانا galgalānā S̱. (see گلانا) v. a. To soften, to mollify.

گهٿاو ghaṭāʼo H (from گهٿانا) s. m. Deficiency, re- duction, abbreviation, falling (as, of a river or of the price of any thing), depreciation.

کهونا khonā S̱. 1. v. a. (from क्षय Loss, waste) To lose, to part with, to get rid of, to waste, to squander; s. m. losing. 2. s. m. A leaf which contains a parcel of betel or flowers, &c.

کتهہ kath H s. m. The astringent vegetable ex- tract, which the natives eat with betel-leaf. It is the produce of a species of Mimosa (chadira) catechu, terra japonica. S. کتها कथा (r. कथ Speak) kathā, s. f. A story, tale, fable, relation, narrative.

گهمنڐ ghamanḍ H s. m. Pride, haughtiness, ar- rogance, conceit. ¶ ghumanḍ, Gathering of the clouds.

کهيپ khep क्षेप S̱. s. f. 1. A trip, voyage. 2. A piece of base metal inserted in coin, or crack- ed coin. 3. A term in algebra; something added to a sum. 4. A cargo, an assortment. 5. An apartment. (Hunter). کهيپ هارنا khep hārnā, To sustain a loss.

کشاده kushāda P (contract. کشاد kushād) part. pass. (of کشادن) Open, uncovered, expanded, wide, ample, extensive, spacious, capacious, loose, lax, displayed, revealed, free, cheerful, frank, drawn forth. کشاده ابرو kushāda-abru, adj. Open or wide between the eyebrows. کشاده پيشاني kushāda-peshānī, or کشاده جبين kushāda-jabīn, or کشاده روي kushāda-rūʼe, adj. Of an open countenance, gay, cheerful, blithe. کشاده دل kushāda-dil, adj. Openhearted, frank. کشاده رو kushāda-rau, Epithet of a horse that walks wide or straddles behind. کشاده روي kushāda-rūʼī, s. f. Openness of countenance, cheerfulness. ¶ kushāda-rau-ī, s. f. Straddling (of a horse, &c.) in gait.

کجل kajjal S (कज्जल) s. m. Lampblack, soot, collyrium prepared from soot.
