کڙوا kaṛwā S̱. (कटु Pungent) adj. 1. Bitter, acrid. 2. Strong, virulent. 3. Hardhearted. 4. Brave. کڙوا تيل kaṛwā-tel (कटुतैल) Oil made from mustard-seed, bitter oil. کڙوا کرنا kaṛwā karnā, To give or expend unwillingly. کڙوا هونا kaṛwā honā, To be enraged. کڙوي کسيلي دن kaṛwe kasele din, Hard and cruel times.

کهنچنا khinchnā H v. n. To be drawn, pulled or tightened, to be drawn or delineated (a picture, &c.), to be borne or suffered. (In dakh.) See کهينچنا khainchnā.

کرت karrat A (from کرّ Heb. orig. in leaping; hence, to leap back, to return) s. f. One time, one assault. دوکرة do karrat, Twice. سه کرة si karrat, Thrice. کرات مرات karrāt marrāt, Repeatedly.

کورا korā H adj. New, unhandled, unused, fresh (applied chiefly to earthen vessels, clothes, or paper). کوري رهنا kore rahnā, To be disap- pointed.

گورا gorā गौर S̱. adj. Fair (complexioned). ¶ गौरा gaurā, s. f. A name of the goddess Pārvatī: see گوري gaurī.

گير gīr P 1. part. (of گرفتن) in compos. Taking, seizing, holding, taker, holder, catcher, conquerour, &c. s. Taking, holding. 2. imper. 2d pers. sing. Take, seize. گير و دار gīr-o-dār, Take and hold, taking and holding; absolute sway or rule.

کٿہرا kaṭʼharā S̱. (from کٿهگهرا kaṭhgharā, q. v.
