ادهین अधीन अधि and इन A master ad- hīn S. or ādhīn, adj. Obedient, dependent, sub- missive, subservient, docile, subject, humble. S. ادهینتا अधीनता (from ادهین अधीन) adhī- na-tā or ādhīna-tā, s. f. Submission, obedience, obsequiousness, servility, subjection, humility.

ادهک uddhak ऊर्द्धग S̱. s. m. Asthma, act of gasping or panting, plethora in the vessels of the head, headach, indigestion.

آزردگي āzurda-gī P s. f. Displeasure, vexation, affliction, sorrow.

انگڙها angaṛhā H m. (from ان priv. and گڙهنا gaṛhnā, To form) adj. Unwrought, unform- ed; uneducated, unpolished, unfinished, unset (as a ring or jewel). انگڙهي بات angaṛhī bāt, Inconsistent or ill-arranged speech.

آسري आसुरी āsur-ī S adj. Of or belonging to the asurs, devilish, demoniacal.

اپرنپار aparampār S Same as اپرم پار q. v.

ارکاٿي arkāṭ-ī H 1. s. m. A pilot. (So named perhaps, from the city or territory of Arkāṭ). 2. adj. Belonging to Arkāṭ. ارکاٿي روپیه arkāṭī rūpiya, An Arcot rupee.

ارضي arẓ-ī A adj. Terrestrial, earthly, relating to the earth.

ادمرا ad-marā S̱. adj. Half-dead.

اشٿانگ अष्टांग अष्ट Eight, and अंग Mem- ber ash̤ṭāng S. Eight parts of man, viz. the hands, feet, thighs, breast, eyes, head, words and mind. اشٿانگ پرنام ash̤ṭāng-praṇām, s. m. Prostration, in salutation or adoration, so as to touch the ground with those eight parts.
