کهڙي khaṛī S̱. or kharī (miṭṭī) (खटिका) s. f. Chalk. (Pipe-clay?). رام کهڙي rām-khaṛī or کٿ کهڙي kaṭ-khaṛī, s. f. A species of steatites, with which children learn to write, and which is used in giving a polish to stucco.

کان kān P s. f. A mine. (Sans. खानि).

کهيپا khepā क्षिप्त S̱. adj. An idiot, a madman, a fool. (Beng.).

گمنا gamanā S̱. (गमन) s. m. Going, the act of going.

کراکل karākul S̱. (Sans. क्रौंच) s. The name of a bird, a kind of heron or curlew.

کاليہر kālīhar S̱. (perhaps from काली Black, and हरिणी A doe) s. f. A buck, deer.

گلگير gul-gīr P s. m. Snuffers. S̱. گلنا galnā (गलन) v. n. To melt, dissolve, waste, be dissolved, be wasted away.

کرتي kurtī P. (from کرته) s. f. A waistcoat or shirt for women, a jacket for soldiers, a coat.

کهيل khel खेला S̱. s. m. Play, game, sport, fun, pastime, frolick.

گنيس गणेश gaṇes S The name of a Hindū di- vinity. The Janus of the Hindūs. The god of wisdom, represented with an elephantʼs head and attended by a rat. He was the son of Mahādeva and of a daughter of the mountain Himālaya, and is invoked at the commence- ment of every affair of consequence. S. گنين guṇ-iyan, adj. (in Braj) plur. of گني guṇ-ī, q. v. S. گو गो or गौ go or gau, s. m. f. A cow, one of the cow kind.
