کهانکهر khānkhar H s. m. 1. A pit, a shaft (of a mine). 2. Any thing very dry.

کرسي kursī A s. f. 1. A chair, a stool, a seat, a throne. 2. The eighth heaven, or according to some the ninth, the throne of God. 3. The name of a place, within about fourteen miles of Lakhnau, the inhabitants of which are said to be foolish or mad. کرسي کاهي kursī kā hai, He is from Kursī, i. e. he is mad or foolish. کرسي نامه kursī-nāma, A genealogical tree. کرسي نشين kursī-nishīn, Established in office, enthroned; verified.

کيکڙ kīkaṛ H s. m. The acacia tree.

گودڙ gūdaṛ H s. m. 1. A quilt. 2. A bundle of old clothes. 3. Any old tattered clothes. 4. A kind of silk stuff. گودڙ خيل gūdaṛ-ḵẖail, adj. (applied only to females) Foolish, unman- nerly, rude. گودڙ سينا gūdaṛ sīnā, To stitch together. گودڙ کالال gūdaṛ kā lāl or گودڙ مين گندوڙا نکلنا gūdaṛ meṅ gandauṛā nikalnā, Good proceeding from evil.

گڐهي gaḍh-ī S̱. s. f. A small fort, a castle.

گانگن gāngan H s. m. The name of a disorder.

کوملتا कोमलता komal-tā S s. f. Softness, placi- dity, mildness, tenderness.

کفگير kaf-gīr P s. m. A skimmer, a spoon, a ladle (generally, perforated like a colander).

گرانا girānā H (caus. of گرنا) v. a. 1. To cause to fall, to fell, to overturn or overthrow, to abase, to cast, throw or break down. 2. To spill, to drop, to shed. 3. To strike. گرادينا girā denā, To throw, beat, cast or break down.

کماست kamāsut S̱. (from کمانا and Sans. सुत A son) s. m. A journeyman, a servant, a work- man, earner.
