کربلا karbalā A Name of the place in عراق iﻌrāḳ, where Ḥusain son of Aﻌlī was killed and buried; hence, the word is sometimes applied in India to the shrines or burying places of the Muhammadans.

کجلي بن kujlī ban S̱. or kujle ban (perhaps, from कुंजर Elephant, and वन Forest) A forest frequented by elephants.

کونتا kauṅtā S̱. s. f. See کنتي kuntī.

کهجلانا khujlānā S̱. (from खर्जू) v. n. To itch, to scratch, to tickle.

کانجي kānjī कांजिक S. s. f. A kind of pickle (or vinegar) made by steeping rice in water and letting the liquor ferment, which is kept for use sometimes twenty years.

کٿر kaṭṭar S̱. (from کاٿنا kaṭnā, q. v.) adj. Inclined or addicted to bite (a horse).

گرجاٿ garj-āṭ S̱. s. m. (dakh.) Thundering, thunder.

کنوٿها kanauṭhā S̱. s. m. Any situation in an apart- ment close to an angle of the wall.

گلذاري gul-ẕār-ī P adj. Of the rose-bower. P, گلستان gul-istān or gul-sitān, 1. s. m. A rose garden. 2. The name of a celebrated work written by مصلح الدين شيخ سعدي of Shīrāz.

گربهونتي garbh-wantī S̱. (Sans. गर्भवती) adj. Pregnant. H. S̱. گرپڙنا gir-paṛnā, v. n. To fall down.
