کنارا kinārā P. (or prop. kanāra) s. m. Side, margin, shore, strand, bank (of a river, &c.), beach, border, coast, part, limit, boundary, edge. کنارا پکڙنا kinārā pakaṛ- nā, To retire. کنارا کرنا kinārā karnā, v. a. To abstain, to refrain, to keep aloof, retire or with- draw (from), to lay aside. کناره کش kināra- kash, Withdrawing. کناري kināre or کناري پر kināre par, Aside, ashore. کناري چڙهنا kināre chaṛhnā, v. n. To run ashore, to strand. کناري هوجانا kināre ho-jānā, To retire, to withdraw.

گلبانگ gulbāng P s. f. 1. Warbling. 2. Fame, rumour. 3. Sound. 4. The war cry, the cry of Allāh Allāh when rushing to battle. 5. Glad tidings.

گوند gond गुंद S̱. s. f. Gum. گوند داني gond- dānī, s. f. A vessel in which gum is kept to seal letters with. گوندکش gond-kash, An in- strument for spreading gum with (in sealing letters).

کل بدهو कुलबधू kul-badhū S s. f. A virtuous woman of a noble family.

گرارا garārā H s. m. A sack (for holding the walls of a tent, &c.).

گني गुणी guṇ-ī S 1. adj. Possessed of any quality or art; skilful, dexterous, virtuous. 2. A snake-catcher, one who charms the snakes, a sorcerer, conjurer.

کنيت kunyat A (from کنا Heb. ) s. f. A name taken from the father or mother of the person signified, a patronymick appellation. S̱. H. کنيٿي kaneṭī (from کان Ear, and اينٿهنا To twist) s. f. Pulling the ears.
