اضطراب iẓt̤irāb A (inf. viii. of ضرب) s. m. Agi- tation, perturbation, restlessness, distraction, an- guish, trouble, chagrin, precipitation.

اشٿدهات ash̤ṭa-dhāt S (अष्ट Eight, and धातु Metal) s. m. The eight metals, said to be gold, silver, copper, brass, tin, bell-metal, lead, and iron.

اطلس at̤las A s. m. Satin.

ابسواسي a-biswās-ī S̱. m. (अविश्वासी) adj. Without confidence, distrustful. S̱. P. ابسي دور ab-se dūr (an expression of those who, after reciting past misfortune, pray to be preserved from a return of it) Far be it from us!

اپرتاپي अप्रतापी a-pratāp-ī S adj. Blunt, pow- erless, unfortunate.

استخوان ustuḵẖẉān P (Sans. अस्थि) s. m. A bone, the stone of fruit, &c.

اينڐهوا īnḍhūʼā H s. m. A roll or round fold on which a burthen is carried on the head.

اصغر aṣg̠ẖar A adj. compar. (of صغیر) Less, very little, least, little, mean.

ابیر abīr H s. m. Powder used in the holī. See عبیر aﻌbīr.

اختلاف iḵẖtilāf A (inf. viii. of خلف Heb. He passed, changed, succeeded) s. m. Differ- ence (of opinion), opposition, discord, disagree- ment, misunderstanding between friends, breach, coolness. (Plur. اختلافات iḵẖtilāfāt).
