فصاد faṣṣād A (adj. superl. of فصد) s. m. A sur- geon, phlebotomist.

فليته falīta A. (corrupt. from فتيله) s. m. 1. Match, torch, wick, fusee. 2. A wick com- posed of paper inscribed with mystick words, by inhaling the smoke of which demons are said to be expelled from those possessed. 3. A cord of twisted thread sewed between the two folds of the hem of a garment to strengthen it. فليته دار falīta-dār, 1. A matchlock. 2. Any thing that has a match or wick. 3. Cloth hemmed with a cord (فليته falīta, q. v.).

فضل faẓl A s. m. 1. Excellence, virtue. 2. In- crease, gain. 3. Gift, reward, favour, grace.

فخريه faḵẖr-īya A s. m. Ostentation, boasting.

فاسده fāsida A f. (part. act. of فسد) adj. Vi- cious, perverse, depraved, corrupt, noxious, pernicious, bad. اخلاق فاسده aḵẖlāḳ-i-fāsida, Vicious or bad disposition or manners.

فردوسي firdaus-ī P n. prop. Name of a celebrated poet.

فيصله faiṣala A (from فصل) s. m. A decree, set- tlement, decision, adjudication, adjustment.
