غول g̠ẖūl A (vulg. g̠ẖol) s. m. 1. An imaginary sylvan demon of different shapes and colours, supposed to devour men and animals. (From this our European loup-garou, or man-wolf, seems to be borrowed). 2. (in Hindī) A corps, division, or main body of an army, a squadron, a crowd, gang. غول بياباني g̠ẖūl-i-bayābān-ī, A demon (inhabitant of the woods). غول کا غول g̠ẖol kā g̠ẖol, Crowd upon crowd.

غماز g̠ẖammāz A (adj. superl. of غمز) s. m. An informer, a talebearer, backbiter.

غزال g̠ẖazāl A (improp. g̠ẖizāl), s. m. 1. A young deer, a fawn. 2. The sun. 3. A de- licate young person. (Pers. plur. غزالان).

غربا g̠ẖurabā A s. plur. (of غريب) Strangers the poor.

غالب g̠ẖālib A part. act. (of غلب) Overcoming, overpowering, victorious, predominant, excel- ling, superiour, most likely. غالب هونا g̠ẖālib- honā, To overcome, to excel, to conquer, to be victorious (over).
