غريو g̠ẖareʼo P (or prop. g̠ẖireʼo) s. m. 1. Noise, exclamation, shout, tumult. 2. A mob. 3. A guggling noise in the throat, growling.

غازي g̠ẖāzī A (part. act. of غزا or غزو To purpose, to intend, to undertake a military expedition. Heb. To be strong or brave) s. m. A conqueror, a hero, one who fights against infidels. (Pers. plur. غازيان). غازي مرد g̠ẖāzī-mard, A hero; (met.) a horse. غازي ميان g̠ẖāzī-miyāṅ, was nephew of Sult̤ān Maḥmūd G̱ẖaznawī; a festival is held in commemoration of him at the beginning of May. غرق g̠ẖarḳ A 1. s. m. Drowning, immersion, sinking. 2. adj. Drowned, immersed, sunk. غرق هونا g̠ẖarḳ honā, To be immersed, to be absorbed (in meditation, &c.), to drown. A. P. غرقاب g̠ẖarḳ-āb, Deep water, a whirlpool.

غيار g̠ẖiyār A s. m. Benefitting, providing goods for sale or use, a badge to distinguish soldiers or sectaries.

غلط g̠ẖalat̤ A 1. adj. Wrong, erroneous. 2. s. Errour, mistake. غلط العام g̠ẖalat̤u-l-āﻌmm, A popular mistake, a vulgar errour. غلط فـﮩمي g̠ẖalat̤-fahm-ī, s. f. Mistake, misconception.

غرفس g̠ẖurfish A. s. f. Reproof, intimidation, threatening, bullying (particularly, that of a coward who affects bravery).

غزا g̠ẖazā A s. m. Making war (against infidels). غزاصفا g̠ẖazā ṣafā, War, plunder, devastation.

غن g̠ẖan P 1. s. m. A heavy stone for pressing oil, &c. 2. (in Hindī) adj. Dead drunk.
