عفريت iﻌfrīt A (from عفر To roll in the dust) s. m. 1. Any thing frightful or horrible. 2. A giant, demon, spectre. (Plur. عفاريت).

عصمت iﻌṣmat A (from عصم Heb. To be strong, to strengthen, to protect or defend, to preserve from sin) s. f. 1. Defence, protection (especially from sin); hence, 2. Chastity, ho- nour, integrity, continence.

عقبيٰ uﻌḳbạ̄ A (from عقب) s. m. End, conclusion, accomplishment, futurity, future state.

عزراٴيل iﻌzrāʼīl A n. prop. The angel of death.

عقوبت uﻌḳūbat A (from عقب) s. f. Punishment, torment, chastisement, torture.
