عا جز āﻌjiz A (part. act. of عجز ) adj. Unable, weak, humble, exhausted, dejected, hopeless. A.P. عاجزانه āﻌjiz-āna, adv. Weakly, humbly.

عاري āﻌrī A (part. act. of عري Heb. ) adj. Naked, void of, free from.

عرفات aﻌrafāt A s. Name of a place about twelve miles from Mecca, where the pilgrims halt.

علام aﻌllām A adj. superl. (of علم) Most knowing, omniscient. علام الغيوب aﻌllāmu-l-g̠ẖuyūb, Knowing all mysteries (an epithet of God).

عطر aﻌt̤r A (prop. iﻌt̤r) s. m. Perfume, fragrance, essence, ottar (of roses, &c.). عطر دان aﻌt̤r-dān, A perfume-box or receptacle for perfume. عطر مالي aﻌt̤r-māl-ī, s. f. The rubbing of perfume.

عمارت iﻌmārat A (from عمر Heb. ) s. f. 1. That by which a place becomes habitable, a publick edifice, a building, structure, cultiva- tion, building. 2. A habitation. 3. A fortifi- cation. (Plur. عمارات).

عرفا uﻌrafā A s. plur. (of عارف) The wise, the holy.

عرق aﻌraḳ A s. m. Juice, essence, spirit, sap, sweat. عرق آلوده aﻌraḳ-ālūda or عرقناک aﻌraḳ- nāk, adj. Sweaty, covered with sweat.
