طريق t̤arīḳ A (from طرق) s. f. 1. Way, road. 2. Manner, custom, fashion. 3. Rite, religion. (Plur. طرق t̤uruḳ).

طباشير t̤abāshīr A s. f. The sugar of the bamboo. See بنس لوچن bans-lochan.

طبله t̤abla A s. m. 1. A small tambourin. 2. A wooden dish, or large platter, generally of wood and painted, on which fruits, perfumes, &c. are exposed for sale or as presents.

طنازي t̤annāz-ī A. s. f. Playfulness, jocoseness, facetiousness.

طلبانه t̤alab-āna A. s. m. Daily pay to constables &c. paid by those they guard, &c. A. P. طلبدار t̤alab-dār, 1. adj. Desirous. 2. part. act. Asking, inquiring. 3. s. m. One who re- ceives pay. A. P. طلبگار t̤alab-gār, adj. Desirous; (substant.) A seeker. A. P. طلبگاري t̤alab-gār-ī, s. f. Desiring, wishing, inquiring, seeking.

ط t̤oʼe or in Arabic t̤ā, called طاي مہمله or طاي غيرمنقوطه the sixteenth letter of the Arabic al- phabet, does not occur in pure Persian; but, in compliance with Arabic orthography, it is some- times introduced in Persian words which were originally written with ت; as, طبرزد for تبرزد, Sugar-candy; طبرخون for تبرخون, Red sanders.

طومار t̤ūmār A s. m. A book, a volume, a roll, an account-book, a story. جمع طومار jamʼiﻌ-t̤ūmār., The produce or collection of a land recorded in government books. طومار نويس t̤ūmār-navīs, An accountant.

طلاق t̤alāḳ A (from طلق) s. f. Divorce, repudia- tion.

طﮩر t̤uhr A s. m. Purification, cleanliness, pu- rity.

طماچه t̤amācha P s. m. See طمانچه t̤amāncha.
