شافي shāfī A part. act. (of شفا) Healing, sanative, salutary; a healer. شافي حقيقي shāfī-i-ḥaḳīḳī, An epithet of the Deity.

شفاعت shafāʼāﻌt A (from شفع) s. f. Depreca- tion, intercession, recommendation, entreaty. شفاعت کرنا shafāʼaﻌt karnā, To intercede, de- precate.

شاهد shāhid A (Heb. Chald. from شہد Chald. To testify) 1. s. m. A witness. 2. (in Pers.) s. m. f. A sweetheart. 3. A female friend, a beloved object. شاهد حال shāhid-i-ḥāl, A witness of facts. شاهد روز shāhid-i-roz, s. m. The sun.
