سمٿ simaṭ H (from سمٿنا simaṭnā, q. v.) s. f. 1. Act of collecting, condensing, or constringing. 2. Tone, elasticity. سمٿ جانا simaṭjā- nā, v. n. To shrivel, to shrink.

سير ser P adj. Full, satiated, sated, tired. سيرآنا يا هونا ser-ānā or -honā, To be distressed, tired of life, sated, cloyed. سير چشم ser-chashm, Satisfied, contented with what one has. سير حاصل ser-ḥāṣil, s. m. Produce (of agriculture).

سينگي sīngī शृंगी S̱. s. f. 1. Name of a kind of fish. (Silurus pungentissimus: Buch.). 2. (from शृंग) A cup for cupping. سينگي لگانا sīngī lagānā, To cup. 3. (from शृंग) A small horn (musical).

سمون sumūn A (from سمن Heb. To be fat) s. 1. Being fat. 2. plur. (of سمن) Butter.

سنپيرا samperā S̱. (from सर्प) s. m. A snake-keeper.

سننا sannā H v. n. 1. To be impregnated. 2. To be stained, soiled, smeared or defiled. 3. To be kneaded, mixed up (as, flour, dough, earth, &c.). S̱. H. سننـہ‍ارا sunan-hārā (see سننا sunnā) s. m. (dakh.) Hearer.

سہلانا sahlānā H v. a. To stroke, to rub gently, to tickle. خايه سہلانا ḵẖāya sahlānā, To flatter.

سمالو samālū सिन्धु S̱. s. m. The name of a plant: also, called Meʼoṛī. (Vitex trifolia and negundo).

سکهتلا sukh-talā S̱. s. m. A piece of leather placed on the sole within the shoe.

سانت शांत sānt S adj. Calm, tranquil, pa- cified, appeased. سانت کرنا sānt karnā, To appease, pacify. سانت هونا sānt honā, To be appeased or pacified.
