سليش श्लेष slesh̤ S s. m. A pun, a double meaning, an equivoque in writing or speaking; as, کيکرپاکرتارجامن پهل سا املا سيوکدم کچنارپيپل رتي تونتج Kīkar pākar tār, jāman phalsā āmilā; seʼo kadam kachnār, pīpal rattī tūna taj. (This seems to be a catalogue of trees; it also means) God has been kind to you; that which you de- sired is obtained; adore his footsteps; silly woman! leave not your lover for a moment.

سوجهنا sūjhnā H v. n. To be visible, to be seen, to appear, to seem, to be able to be seen.

سامانيا सामान्या sāmānyā S s. f. A prostitute, a common girl. S. سامانيه सामान्य (from समान Like) sāmānya, adj. Common.

سينکڙا seṅkṛā S̱. adj. Hundred. See سيکڙا.

سپولا sapolā S̱. (सर्पपोत i. e. सर्प A snake, and पोत The young of any thing) s. m. A young snake just hatched.

سوکها sūkhā शुष्क S̱. 1. adj. Dry. 2. s. m. Dry tobacco eaten with betel-leaf. 3. A consumption, atrophy. سوکهادهان sūkhā dhān, Rice burnt up by the sunʼs rays. سوکها لگنا sūkhā lagnā (dakh.) To be famished, to become ema- ciated.
