سکهہ sikh S̱. n. prop. Name of a people living in the Panjāb and in the neighbourhood of Lāhaur (Lahore) disciples or followers of Nānak.

سوندها sondhā S̱. (from सुगंध) s. m. 1. A com- position of fragrant substances used for washing the hair. 2. Smelling like that of a new earthen vessel when wetted or from parching of pulse.

سيراب ser-āb P (comp. of سير Full, and آب Wa- ter) adj. 1. Full of water, satisfied with drink, moist, succulent. 2. Fresh, blooming.

سلوانا silwānā S̱. (caus. of سينا) v. a. To cause to sew or stitch. ¶ sulwānā (caus. of سونا) v. a. To cause to put to sleep.

سوادهيني स्वाधीनी swādhīn-ī S s. f. In- dependence, liberty, freedom.
