سلگانا sulgānā S̱. or silgānā (causal of سلگنا su- lagnā) v. a. To light, to inflame, to kindle.

سيس ses S (शेष) s. m. See سيش sesh̤.

سرسري sarsarī P adj. Easy, facile, careless, with- out attention or consideration, trivial, trifling, easily.

سنگخواره sang-ḵẖẉāra P s. A kind of bird, a smallish bird of a dark colour, called in Arabic قطاة ḳat̤āt (?).

سندرتائي sundartā-ī S̱. s. f. Beauty, handsomeness. A. P. سندروس sandaros, s. m. 1. Sandarak, or Sandaracha; a resin supposed to be produced by the Juniperus communis, but now proved to exude from a species of Thuia (Thuia articu- lata: Vahl).

سپوليا sapoliyā S̱. (सर्पपोत i. e. सर्प A snake, and पोत The young of any thing) s. m. A young snake just hatched.

سہلاهٿ sahlāhaṭ H (from سہلانا) s. f. Gentle rub- bing, stroking, titillation.

سٿک saṭak H s. f. An elastick rod, thick at one end and thin at the other.

سکهد सुखद सुख Ease, and part. act. of r. दा Give sukhad S. adj. Salubrious, pleasant. S. سکهداس (comp. of सुख and दास) sukhdās, s. m. A kind of rice.

سيري ser-ī P s. f. Satiety, repletion, fulness.
