سکيلنا sakelnā H v. n. To shrink, to shrivel, to gather up (the limbs, as a tortoise).

ستياناسي satyānās-ī S adj. 1. Depraved, bad, destroyed, damaged. 2. Name of a thorny plant.

سوت sūt S̱. s. m. 1. (सूत्र) Thread, yarn; a sil- ver thread; a stamen (in botany), a tendril. سوت بونٿي sūt-būṅṭī, A kind of needlework. 2. (सूत) A charioteer, a carpenter.

سرادهہ श्राद्ध srāddha S s. m. Funeral obsequies, consisting in the feeding of priests and other prescribed ceremonies in honour of ancestors.

سينکيا sīnkiyā H adj. Striped.

سردا sardā H s. m. A kind of watermelon.

سنار sunār स्वर्णकार S̱. s. m. A goldsmith.

سوات स्वाति swāti S s. f. The star Arcturus, the fifteenth mansion of the moon. سوات بوند swāt-būnd, A drop of rain fallen when the moon is in that mansion which, if into a shell, is be- lieved to become a pearl. سوات ست स्वातिसुत swāti-sut, The issue of Arcturus, a pearl (from a popular belief that drops of rain, falling when the moon is in that mansion into shells, are converted into pearls; but, which turn to poison, if they happen to fall into the mouth of a serpent).
