Agate, onyx. سنگ سماق sang-i-sumāḳ, Porphyry. سنگ لاخ sang-lāḵẖ, adj. Stony, rocky; arduous. سنگ مثانه sang-i-mas̤āna, s. m. The gravel, the stone. سنگ مرمر sang-i-marmar, s. m. Marble. سنگ مقناطيس sang-i-miḳnāt̤īs, The loadstone. سنگ موسيٰ sang-i-mūsạ̄, A black stone so called. سنگ نشان sang-nishān, A mark to be thrown at. سنگ يشم sang-i-yashm, s. m. A kind of jasper or agate.

سوتيلا saut-elā S̱. (from سوت) adj. Belonging or relating to saut, of one father by different mo- thers; as, سوتيلا بهاٴي sautelā bhāʼī, Step-brother; سوتيلي بہن sautelī bahin, Step-sister.

سرات sirāt S̱. (from शीत) adj. Cold, becoming cold.

ساروان sār-wān P s. (dakh.) Possessor of a ca- mel: see ساربان sār-bān.

سيہنڐ sehunḍ सीहुण्ड S̱. s. m. A species of Euphorbia, or indeed a general name for plants of that kind: Hunter. The milk hedge plant (Euphorbia antiquorum, &c. Wilson).

سيولي sīwlī S̱. (Beng. from سينا To stitch) s. m. Name of a cast, whose business it is to draw juice from the date or tāṛ trees, &c.

سرور sar-war P s. m. 1. A chief, principal, leader. 2. n. prop. Name of a Muhammadan saint. سرورکاينات sarwar-i-kāʼịnāt (chief of created beings) Muḥammad.
