Stupified, brainless. 3. Immense, boundless, endless (applied to affairs).

سني sunn-ī A (from سنّة) 1. adj. Lawful. 2. s. m. An orthodox Muhammadan, who reveres equally the four successors of Muhammad; and, hence, called also chār-yār-ī. (The Turks are sunnīs; the Persians are shīʼaﻌs, q. v.).

ستهيا sathiyā H s. m. 1. A surgeon. 2. A mark in form of a cross, the four arms of which are bent at right angles, prefixed in vermilion by Hindūs to their account books at the com- mencement of a new year. The same figure is formed on the ground with flour, at marriages and other ceremonies.

سنکوچ संकोच sankoch S s. m. 1. Shame, bash- fulness, reserve, diffidence. 2. (for शंकु) A scate.

ستمب stamb S̱. (स्तम्भ) s. m. Pillar, post, column, stump.
