سوره sūra A s. m. A chapter, or division of the ḳurʼān (there being 114 in number).

سکهاٴي sikhāʼī S̱. s. f. (from سکهانا sikhānā) Teaching, instruction.

سدهہ sidh S or siddh (सिद्ध) 1. s. m. A class of demi-gods, inhabiting Indraʼs heaven. 2. A saint, a holy man, he who has subjected to his will the eight Siddhis: see اشٿسدهہ ash̤ṭa-siddhi. 3. adj. Successful. 4. Ready, completed, ac- complished. 5. (for सिद्धि) s. f. Success, ac- complishment of an object. ¶ siddhi (सिद्धि) s. f. 1. Fulfilment, accomplishment, the entire completion of any undertaking or attainment of any object. 2. The result or fruit of the adora- tion of the gods, or of ascetick severities. 3. The supposed acquirement of supernatural powers by the completion of magical, mystical, or alchymical rites and processes. 4. Accura- cy, correctness, indisputable conclusion or po- sition. S̱. سدهہ 1. s. f. sudh or sudhi (सुधी comp. of सु Good, and धी Intellect) Memory, remem- brance, sensation, consciousness, notice, care, intelligence. بي سدهہ be sudh, adj. Beside oneʼs self. 2. adj. sudh, or suddh, or suddha (शुद्ध r. शुध Grow pure) Accurate, correct. 3. Pure, clean, unpolluted. سدهہ بدهہ sudh budh (शुद्धबुद्धि) s. f.
