رؤف raʼuf A (from رأف) adj. Merciful, forgiving.

رنڐسالا ranḍ-sālā S̱. (from रंडा) s. m. Widowʼs dress, widowʼs weeds.

رحلت riḥlat A s. f. Marching, departure (par- ticularly to the other world); death, decease. رحلت کرنا riḥlat karnā, v. n. To depart, to die.

رکت کوڙهـ rakt-koṛh रक्तकुष्ठ S̱. s. m. A kind of leprosy in which the part affected is red.

رينگني rengnī H s. f. Name of a medicinal herb. See بهٿ کٿيا bhaṭ kaṭaiyā.

راستي rāst-ī P s. f. Honesty, probity, uprightness, veracity, truth, fidelity, justice, loyalty, can- dour, sincerity, rectitude, straightness, justness.

رجو rajjū रज्जु S̱. s. f. Thread, string.

رحيق raḥīḳ A s. Wine, pure and of the best quality.

راگ राग rāg S s. m. (in dakh. f.) 1. A mode in musick (there being six in number), musick, song, tune. 2. Anger, passion. 3. Love. راگ چهانا rāg chhānā, v. n. To be in concert. راگ رنگ rāg-rang, s. m. Musick. راگ ساگر rāg- sāgar, s. m. A song composed of many rāgs or musical modes. راگ مالا rāg-mālā, s. f. The name of a treatise on musick (being nothing more than a collection of pictures, exhibiting the traditional history of the primary and sub- ordinate modes, and the subjects appropriated to each).
