راس rās H s. f. 1. Reins of a bridle. 2. See اگاهي ugāhī. 3. Adoption. راس بٿهانا يا لينا rās-biṭhānā or -lenā, v. a. To adopt a son. راس آنا rās-ānā (perhaps, for راست آنا rāst ānā, see under راست) To be agreeable.

ريتل retal S̱. (from ريت Sand) adj. Sandy. s. f. Sand, sandy ground.

رندنا rundnā H (intrans. of روندنا) v. n. To be trod or trampled on.

رطل rat̤l A s. m. 1. A pound (consisting of twelve ounces). 2. A cup of wine.

رون rawan रमण S̱. s. m. A husband, lover, a gallant. ¶ rūṅ (रोम) s. f. (dakh.) Down, small hair of the body: see روم rom.

رابنا rābnā H v. n. (dakh.) To labour.

روٴين roʼeṅ S̱. (plur. of روان roʼāṅ, q. v.) s. f. The hair on the arms, &c. bristle, pile, nap, down. روٴين بدلنا roʼeṅ-badalnā, To become sleek and fat (a horse), to change his coat.

رونپنا rompnā रोपण S̱. v. a. To plant, to transplant.

رجهويا rijhwaiyā S̱. (from رجهانا) adj. Having the quality of being pleased.

رهنٿ rahaṅṭ H s. See رهٿ rahaṭ.
