رفيق rafīḳ A (from رفق See رفاقت) s. m. f. A friend, ally, associate, companion, comrade, ac- complice, adherent. (Pers. plur. رفيقان).

رمنه ramna P s. m. A park or chase.

رعايتي riʼāﻌyat-ī A. s. m. Favoured person, a protégé.

ريندهنا rīndhnā S̱. (रंधन r. रध Ripen) v. a. To dress (victuals), to cook.

رکيب rakīb A (part. from رکب) s. Any thing ridden upon, placed upon: fellow-rider.

راضي rāẓī A (part. act. of رضو Heb. ) adj. Satisfied, contented, agreed, pleased, willing, approving; approver. ¶ s. f. (dakh.) Good pleasure: see رضا raẓā. راضي برضا rāẓī-ba-riẓā, Resigned to the will of God. راضي نامه rāẓī- nāma, s. m. An acknowledgment of a cause being finally settled, given by the plaintiff: the defendant gives a صافي نامه ṣāfī-nāma, A ge- neral release. راضي کرنا rāẓī karnā, To content, satisfy, please, gratify. راضي هونا rāẓī honā, To consent, acquiesce, assent, accede, agree, be content, deign.

رتن جوت ratan-jot रत्नज्योतिः S̱. s. f. 1. Name of a plant. 2. Name of a medicine, said to be good for the eyes.

رجال rijāl A s. pl. (of رجل) Men. رجال الغيب rijālu-l-g̠ẖaib (by the Hindūs called योगिनी yoginī) s. m. An invisible being which moves in a circular orbit round the world: on the 1st, 9th, 16th, and 24th days of a lunar month, his station is in the east: on the 3d, 11th, 18th, and 26th, in the south-east: on the 5th, 13th, 20th, and 28th, in the south: on the 4th, 12th, 19th, and 27th, in the south-west: on the 6th, 14th, 21st, and 29th, in the west: on the 7th, 15th, and 22d, in the north-west: on the 2d, 10th, 17th, and 25th, in the north: and, on the 8th, 23d, and 30th, in the north-east. His influence on each day is especially exerted during nine ghaṛis, or three hours thirty six minutes, at the close of that tith or lunar day; and, in that interval, it is unfortunate to begin a journey towards the station of this being, or in such a direction as to place him on the right hand.

رکهوانا rakhwānā S̱. (caus. of رکهنا rakhnā, q. v.) v. a. To cause to keep, place, &c. See رکهانا rakhānā. رکهوا لينا rakhwā lenā, To take in charge.
