رانڐا rānḍā रंडा S̱. adj. Barren. (The mangoe fish without roes are so called: and, the word is particularly applied to unproductive trees, such as the male palm, &c.).

رنڐ ranḍ एरंड S̱. s. m. The name of a tree. (Palma christi. Ricinus vulgaris). S. H. رنڐاپا ranḍā-pā, (from रंडा Widow) s. m. Widowhood. S. H. رنڐاپرو ranḍā-paro, (from रंडा Widow) s. m. Widowhood.

رسواد raswād S̱. (comp. of रस and वाद Quar- rel) adj. Exciting quarrels.

رخشندگي raḵẖshandagī P (from رخشيدن) s. f. Flash, lightning, refulgence.

راجيسور राजेश्वर rājeswar S (राजा King, and ईश्वर Chief) s. m. A sovereign, prince, a lord, a governour.

رسم rasm A (from رسم rasama, Heb. He marked or wrote) s. f. 1. Custom. 2. Law. 3. Model, plan. 4. A game among children, the laws of which are, that one puts a question to another, who is obliged to reply in words which do not contain either of the three letters س ر or م which compose the word رسم. If one of these should be found in his answer, he is condemned, by way of penalty, to imitate the voice of any animal which may be directed by the questioner.

رحل raḥl A s. m. Departing, travelling, a man- sion, a resting-place. ¶ riḥl, s. f. A support for a book.

رولا raulā H s. m. Noise, tumult, sedition, alarm.
