ريوڙي rewṛī H s. f. A kind of sweetmeat. ريوڙي کي پهيرمين پڙنا rewṛī ke pher meṅ paṛnā, v. n. To be involved in difficulties. (This alludes to a game founded on the principle of geometrical progression, wherein one party bets that he will eat one of these sweet cakes so many times doubled, and is confounded at finding it amount to a quantity far beyond his expectation).

A kind of serenade, with pipes and small tabours, round the apartment of a great man when he retires to rest. 2. The same kind of musick used on other occasions. روشن دان roshan-dān, s. m.
