رجوگن रजोगुण rajo-guṇ S s. m. One of the three characters or dispositions assigned by the Hindūs to the human mind. They are 1. सत्व satwa, Goodness, benevolence. 2. रजः raja, Passion or love of sensual enjoyment or of pleasure. 3. तमः tama, Darkness, ignorance, delusion, promptitude to the vindictive passions. These are all exhibited in the Hindū Trinity: in Brahmā, raja prevails; in Vishnu, satwa; and in Siva, tama.

راگ राग rāg S s. m. (in dakh. f.) 1. A mode in musick (there being six in number), musick, song, tune. 2. Anger, passion. 3. Love. راگ چهانا rāg chhānā, v. n. To be in concert. راگ رنگ rāg-rang, s. m. Musick. راگ ساگر rāg- sāgar, s. m. A song composed of many rāgs or musical modes. راگ مالا rāg-mālā, s. f. The name of a treatise on musick (being nothing more than a collection of pictures, exhibiting the traditional history of the primary and sub- ordinate modes, and the subjects appropriated to each).

رخت raḵẖt P s. m. Goods and chattels, pro- perty, apparatus, furniture, apparel. رخت باندهنا raḵẖt bāndhnā, To pack up, to depart.

ريزگي rezgī P (from ريزه) s. f. 1. A scrap, a bit,

رهت rahat H (from رهنا) s. Staying, remaining.

راچهسي rāchh̤as-ī S 1. adj. Of or relating to a rāchh̤as, demoniacal, devilish. 2. s. f. A fe- male راچهس rāchh̤as, q. v.
