رکهيس ऋषीश r̤ikh̤īs S (comp. of ऋषि A sage, and ईश Lord) s. m. A chief of the r̤ikh̤is or saints.

راٿهوڙ rāṭhoṛ H adj. (dakh.) Strong, firm: see مضبوط maẓbūt̤.

راوت rāwat H s. m. 1. A hero. 2. A sweeper (of a particular cast).

روارو rawā-rau P s. f. Going, travelling.

رقوب ruḳūb A s. m. Expecting, watching, contemplating the stars, waiting.

رانبهنا rāmbhnā S̱. (रंभन r. रभ Sound, make a noise) v. n. To low, to bellow, to cry out.

ربيع rabīﻌ A (from ربع) s. f. 1. The spring. 2. The spring harvest or grain cut in the spring (as peas, wheat, &c.).

رنجک ranjak H s. f. Priming-powder. رنجک اڙانا ranjak uṛānā, v. a. To burn priming, to flash in the pan. رنجک اڙنا ranjak uṛnā, v. n. To flash in the pan (priming). رنجک پلانا ran- jak pilānā, v. a. To prime. رنجک دان ranjak- dān, s. m. Priming-pan or firepan.

راڙهـ राढ rāṛh S s. m. Name of that portion of Bengal which lies to the west of the Ganges.

رسوٴي rasoʼī रसवती S̱. s. f. 1. Victuals. 2. Cook-room, kitchen.
