روپيه rūpiya S̱. (from روپا) s. m. A coin so called. The Calcutta Sicca Rupee is worth two shil- lings, and the silver of it is better than English standard silver by 2 3/4 pence the ounce. By the regulations of Government passed in May 1793, it should weigh 179 2/3 grains (Troy wt.). (The inflect. of the sing. and the plur. nom. is ge- nerally made روپيي rūpiye, rụpiye, rụpaʼe or رپي rupai or روپي rụpai).

ريش resh P s. m. A wound, a sore, pus, matter. In compos. adj. Wounded; as جگرريش jigar- resh, or دل ريش dil-resh, Wounded to the heart or in the heart.
