رق raḳḳ A (from رقّ Heb. To be thin) s. m. Parchment, vellum.

رکهوالا rakhwālā S̱. (from رکهنا) s. m. A keeper, guard, shepherd, cow- herd, goatherd.

رن مار r̤iṇ-mār S̱. (from ऋण Debt) s. m. One who does not pay his debts.

رساله risāla A s. m. 1. Mission, sending a letter, &c. 2. A book, a treatise, an essay, a small tract. 3. A troop of horse. رساله دار risāla-dār, The commander of a troop of horse. رساله داري risāla-dār-ī, s. f. The command of a troop of horse.

ريتي ret-ī S̱. (from ريت Sand, filings) s. f. 1. Sandy ground on the shore of a river. 2. A file.

رافضي rāfiẓī A (part. act. of رفض To reject) s. m. A heretick, particularly a شيعه shīʼaﻌ, q. v.

رون rawan रमण S̱. s. m. A husband, lover, a gallant. ¶ rūṅ (रोम) s. f. (dakh.) Down, small hair of the body: see روم rom.

روکهڙا rūkh-ṛā S̱. (dimin. of روکهـ) s. m. A small tree.

رامانندي rāmānandī रामानंदीय S̱. s. m. A sect of Hindū faḳīrs, believers in Rāma.

رقيب raḳīb A (from رقب) s. m. A rival, ene- my, one who watches, a guardian.
