روان roʼāṅ रोम S̱. s. m. Hair of the body, down, wool. See روم rom.

Manners, habits, customs. راه زن rāh-zan, s. m. A highwayman, footpad, robber. راه زني rāh-zan-ī, s. f. Highway-robbery. راه سر rāh sir, adj. Just. right. راه کاٿنا rāh kāṭnā, 1. To travel a road. 2. To quit a path, or take a short cut. راه کرنا rāh karnā, To contract friendship. راه کهوٿي کرني rāh khoṭī karnī, To linger on the road. راه گذر rāh-guẕar, s. m. 1. Road, way. 2. A traveller. راه گير rāh-gīr, s. m. A travel- ler, wayfarer. راه لگنا rāh lagnā, To follow oneʼs own devices. راه لينا rāh lenā, To go, to depart. راه مارنا rāh mārnā, 1. To waylay, to rob. 2. رادهانگري rādhānagar-ī S̱. s. m. A kind of silk cloth made at Rādhānagar.

ريح rīḥ A (from روح Heb. ) s. f. 1. Wind. 2. Odour, exhalation.

رجهويا rijhwaiyā S̱. (from رجهانا) adj. Having the quality of being pleased.

روکڙ rokaṛ S̱. s. f. (रोक) Ready money, cash.

رجوگن रजोगुण rajo-guṇ S s. m. One of the three characters or dispositions assigned by the Hindūs to the human mind. They are 1. सत्व satwa, Goodness, benevolence. 2. रजः raja, Passion or love of sensual enjoyment or of pleasure. 3. तमः tama, Darkness, ignorance, delusion, promptitude to the vindictive passions. These are all exhibited in the Hindū Trinity: in Brahmā, raja prevails; in Vishnu, satwa; and in Siva, tama.
