رواس ro-ās S̱. (رو from रोदन To weep, and आशा Desire) s. f. Inclination to cry.

روشن roshan P or raushan, adj. Light, splendid, bright, shining, luminous, manifest, conspicuous. روشن چوکي roshan chaukī, s. f. 1. A kind of serenade, with pipes and small tabours, round the apartment of a great man when he retires to rest. 2. The same kind of musick used on other occasions. روشن دان roshan-dān, s. m. A small hole for admitting light. روشن دل roshan-dil, adj. Enlightened in mind. روشن دماغ roshan-damāg̠ẖ, Snuff. روشن راي roshan- rāʼe, adj. Of enlightened understanding. روشن ضمير roshan-ẓamīr, adj. Enlightened in mind.

روٿها روٿهي rūṭhā-rūṭhī रुष्टारुष्टि S̱. s. f. Mu- tual coolness, misunderstanding.

رنگترا rangtarā P. s. m. A kind of orange. (This name was given by Muhammad Shāh).

رن بن ran-ban S̱. (comp. of अरण्य Forest, and वन Forest) s. m. A wilderness. S. رنبها रंभा (r. रभ Rejoice, delight) rambhā, s. f. Delight.

راج دهر rāj-dhar S̱. (राज्यधर i. e. राज्य Kingdom, and part. act. of धृ Hold) s. m. The prime minister of a rājā.

رکمه rukma रुक्मी S̱. s. m. The name of the brother-in-law of Kr̤ish̤ṇa and son of Bhīsh̤- maka.
